TALL DAYS: Breakers
Tall Days - LP, Digital
TALL DAYS is a rock n roll duo from New Jersey, and this is their first new album in 7 years. It's raw, hook-heavy garage rock with cranked amps, big drums and a little old-school NYC scuzz that we get from these men. Drawing from the raw punch of 60s and 70s British rock, garage rock and modern indie fuzz, the record lands somewhere between the blown-out immediacy of Jack White and The BLACK KEYS and the restless garage instincts of Ty Segall, they say. It's simple with mainly vocals, guitar and drums. But there's also some alto and tenor saxophone, Hammond organ, recorder and a small arsenal of percussion here and there.
If you like raw and noisey garage rock n roll, then this could be worth a try, because they have many good songs among these 10 tracks.

MISSING TOYS feat. Dann Huff: Lifeline
Pride & Joy Music - Digital Single
This is the first single from the debut album "Not A.I.", which will be released on January 15. And MISSING TOYS is a AOR/orchestral art-rock supergroup, they say. The group was formed by MECCA frontman Joe Vana, and among the session musicians and guests we can find people like Steve Lukather (TOTO), Dann Huff (GIANT) and Bill Champlin (CHICAGO), to name a few.
This sounds melodic of course, but also catchy and almost a little progressive somehow. This is a very good song, so it sounds very promising for the album. You should really check this out if you like melodic rock, but I would guess that people who like progressive rock and art-rock will like this too.

Michael Kratz: Flip The Coin
Art Of Melody Music/Burning Minds Music Group - Digital Single
It sounds like he has tried to make a pop/rock song from the 80s. Unfortunately he forgot the hit potential. With a more hard-hitting chorus and possibly some more speed, it could have been much more interesting. It's not totally useless though, but like it is now, it's too soft.
This is the first single taken from AOR/West Coast rocker Michael's new album, "Crowded Silence", scheduled for release on January 22, 2027. It will be his 4th studio album.

LOVE IN CHAINS: Good Lovin'
Idora Entertainment - Album
LOVE IN CHAINS is a hard rock band, and it's said that this new album is built on the foundation of the previous albums, but brings a tighter, more polished production. It's heavy as well as melodic, and there's memorable choruses, big hooks and a robust production. The album might have a modern producion, but the influences comes from old bands like KISS, FIREHOUSE, EUROPE, WINGER, WARRANT, WHITESNAKE, DOKKEN, and STRYPER. So I would say that this should fit both the young and the older generation of hard rockers.
They have made a very good album anyway, there's no doubt about that. Good song after good song.

LOCKSLIP: The Conversation
Bleakhouse Records on Nov. 6 - LP, CD, MC, Digital
L.A. metallic hardcore band LOCKSLIP release their debut album. Their sound is described as if CONVERGE and The DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN would collide with CAR BOMB. This record is loaded with savage breakdowns, mathcore chaos and pure emotional violence. They see themselves as a blend of mathcore, metalcore, and hardcore, while not wanting to be limited by those labels. The vocalist is screaming like a maniac, while the band is playing fast, heavy and technical. This is the raw sound of a band pushing all the way to the edge, and they are often on the border to chaos. Yet it's listenable.
The band was founded in 2022, and has previously released 1 self-titled and self-released EP.

LASER DRACUL: Hin Håle Blues
Majestic Mountain Records - LP, Digital
Swedish doom band LASER DRACUL deliver a massive dose of monolithic riffs, sinister blues and dark psychedelia. Think BLACK SABBATH worship dragged through the murk of ELECTRIC WIZARD, UNCLE ACID & The DEADBEATS and early WITCHCRAFT, with a distinctly Swedish darkness running through it. This album is heavy, hazy, evil and loaded with riffs. It's never a exact copy of any of the mentioned bands, so they have found their own sound.
The 6 songs on this album are between 5:18 to 8:18 minutes, and this is very good stuff. No doubt about that. You should really give this a chance if you like it heavy.

BESOTTEN: Eye Of The Monolithicrypt
Transcending Obscurity Records on Nov. 6 - LP, CD, MC, Digital
This is the full-length debut from this U.S. death/doom metal band, and they play heavy. We just get 5 tracks here, but a couple of these songs are 10 and 11 and a half minutes long, while the rest is from 4 to almost 6 minutes. It's a dark and harsh adventure that we get, and it sounds like this trio knows exactly what they are doing. It's a diverse material, and every song has its own identity. I have heard both better and worse, but I guess that if you're into this kind of stuff, then you will probably enjoy this band's music. So give it a try then..

The HERITANCE: Fear Of Collision
The Heritance - Digital Single
The HERITANCE describe themselves as "crushing melodic death groove", and they hailing from the Netherlands. After years of silence, they now have returned with their first new release since 2018, the single "Fear Of Collision".
This is the first taste of the upcoming full-length album "Ominous Order Of The Infidel", which will be released next year. Crushing grooves collide with razor-sharp melodic riffs, blistering solos and relentless blast beats. It's (as you might have figured out) a mix of melodic death metal and groove metal that we get. And this sounds very good and promising for that new album, so you should of course give these guys a try.

TWIN PIGS: Get The Fuck Out Of Punk Rock / Guns
Luftslott Records - Digital Singles

Swedish punk rock/hardcore band TWIN PIGS deliver 2 new singles - "Get The Fuck Out Of Punk Rock" was released on October 23, and "Guns" on October 30.
"Get The Fuck Out Of Punk Rock" is about the people who shout about supporting the scene, while they themselves want to get in for free, so that they can spend their money on expensive vinyl records instead. "Guns" is about being your own worst enemy, and to choose violence since day 1.
This is punk with a twist of hardcore that kicks in every direction, without apologizing. TWIN PIGS when they are at their hottest, you could say. In other words 2 really good songs that you have to check out.
This is by the way a band that you should experience live if you get the chance.

SCARBLADE is a Swedish heavy metal band in the classic tradition. And what we get on their new album is a mix of soaring melodies, memorable hooks, dynamic songwriting, and an unwavering passion for classic heavy metal. They blend the traditional sound with a modern edge, and it's a diverse collection of songs that we get here, but mainly a powerful and energetic material.
They have made a great album, and every fan of what they call "the new wave of traditional heavy metal" should check this out at once.

PARTY DOZEN: Full Powers
City Slang - Digital Single
Sydney experimental psych-noise-pop duo PARTY DOZEN will release their new album, "21 Bum Salute", on November 6, and this is the final single before it's released. This song is described as a swaggering, swampy rock track. It starts confident and euphoric before slowly tipping into something wilder and heavier. They show us all that they are unafraid to experiment with traditional pop structures, big production and melody lines. Yet not compromising or sacrificing the raw power or wild abandon that has carried them through 4 albums. And even if there's talk about pop here, I would describe this as a psych rock track.

LAMBRINI GIRLS: The Basement / Spilt
City Slang - Digital Singles
Brighton punk duo LAMBRINI GIRLS has delivered 2 new singles from their upcoming sophomore album, "No Refunds", out on January 15, 2027.
While "The Basement" is punk, "Spilt" is entirely new territory, with a fully acoustic track. It makes it a more naked and laidback song, and probably the closest they have come to a ballad so far. It's not bad though.
"The Basement" is more wild and noisey, yet it has what I would describe as a dance beat. It's the kind of punk song that you can jump up and down to, but it's not made for pogo dancing. A pretty good song.

NIHILO: Abyss
Xtreem Music on Nov. 3 - CD, Digital
Swiss death metallers NIHILIO formed in 2003, and released their first EP, "Nyktophobia", in 2008. They have since then released 2 more EPs and 4 full-length albums, as well as a live release last year.
Their new album, "Abyss", is said to be bleaker, harder and more devastating than ever before. It's brutal and violent death metal in the old school, sometimes fast and sometimes heavy. We get 10 tracks without any crap, just straight and raw death. This is really good stuff, so I really recomend you to check this out, because you should not be dissapointed when you hear this.

ECHOID: The Silent Era
Pitch Black Records on Nov. 6 - CD, Digital
In ECHOID members from Italy and Sweden unite to create modern and melodic metal. They are experienced musicians, which can be heard on this dynamic and dramatic debut album. They combine heavy and power metal with modern, melodic metal, and the result is not bad at all. This is almost like a progressive adventure actually. Powerful riffs and melancholic melodies are mixed with a dark edge. They might not have any uptempo songs or anything that could be called a hit. Instead it's majestic and adventurous music that we get, with a little more brain I guess you could say.

GUERILLA TEENS: Sympathy For The Decibel
Sonic Jett Records - Digital EP
GUERILLA TEENS is a punk rock n roll band from Portland. Frontman Scott "Deluxe" Drake and guitarist Jeff Fieldhouse has a past in The HUMPERS, which were active in the 1990s. And they has also been playing with bands like SUICIDE KINGS and The LOVESORES etc. The other members comes from bands like 8-FOOT TENDER, The EPOXIES and The SUICIDE NOTES. So it's hardly any young amateurs that we have here.
Their music on this EP is a mix of raw 70s punk, garage rock, darker melodies and big hooks coming together to something loud and slightly dangerous - Something for fans of The STOOGES, NEW YORK DOLLS, RADIO BIRDMAN and The HUMPERS, they say. It's a little catchy and energetic, and it sounds old-school too. These 5 tracks are really good stuff, so if you like the old bands, then you should absolutely give this a try.
